Accounting systems for urban landscaping have become one of the important directions of our developments.
For the first time, we got acquainted with the peculiarities of accounting for trees and plantings in cities in 2019. Then, in close cooperation with the specialists of the city council of Bila Tserkva, we created the first "Smart Green БЦ" portal.
Data on the green spaces of Bila Tserkva with exact reference to the area were uploaded to the portal using a geoinformation system. The system allows you to add and update the data of each object. Photos, descriptions, history of changes are stored in the database and allow to analyze the situation for the management, development and care of landscaping.
The inventory of trees and landscaping remains one of the important tasks of the system. In order to speed up inventory and update data, a mobile application was additionally created. In this way, city officials were able to more widely involve volunteer citizens in the process, who help to more quickly enter data about urban plantation into the system.
Later, we had the pleasure of cooperating with activists and city services of Odesa. The initiators of this development worked a lot on the methodology and analysis, determined how and what they would do, what parameters would be determined and why, what statistics and indicators would be collected and what analysis they would be able to obtain.
When, in 2020, the public initiative was supported by the local self-government of Odesa, including the project in the city development program, the third version of the program appeared in cooperation with SOFTPRO. In this way, the system of accounting for green areas of Odesa appeared.
In 2020, we also created a special BLAGOMAP module for the GIS of the city of Mariupol, which was also supposed to provide accounting and management of the city's landscaping. It was especially difficult for us to accept the terrible news of the spring of 2022, when the Russians turned this flourishing seaside town into a fire pit littered with the graves of its inhabitants.

We continue to work on landscaping plantation accounting systems. Since 2021, we have been cooperating with the Poltava City Council. We are developing a similar system for the city, which also helps to maintain a cozy atmosphere in the heart of one of the recognizable regions of Ukraine.
Of course, the war brought changes to the information needs of Ukrainian cities, but we believe that when peace returns to our common home, the restoration of urban gardens and parks will become an important component of urban planning.
